This was my first engagement session and I couldn't have had better clients!! They were so sweet and I enjoyed meeting them. We headed up to Green Mountain, where G popped the question. Such a perfect location for a proposal!
Congrats you two! And I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Green Mountain- 6 Months Old

I took this little one's pictures back when he was 3 months old. Good to know he hasn't lost those pinch-able cheeks! Couldn't you just eat him up!?

We headed up to Green Mountain for some outdoor natural 6 month pictures. It is so beautiful and peaceful up there and it makes me excited for mini-sessions in October. Which are completely full by the way, so thank you! But if you didn't sign up for a spot, email me for information on other options or to be put on a waitlist in case I have a cancellation. You can also contact me via my Amanda Owens Photography facebook page www.facebook.com/amandaowensphotography

Ok- enough talk....more pictures!!!

Montgomery Family Shoot

I had the JOY of photographing a sweet little 8 month old and her parents this past weekend while in Montgomery. I went to high school with mom and enjoyed visiting and meeting her hubby and daughter. Side Note: Being a Montgomery native, I'm in the area visiting family a few times a year and love taking pictures there.

Let me tell you, this was the easiest shoot ever! This little doll was born to model for the camera. Happiest baby I have ever seen. I even asked her mom and dad if she ever fussed! Amazing! I had to refrain from posting EVERY picture on this blog b/c they were all so adorable. But I'm saving those for mom and dad.

Without further ado....Miss S. and her family.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are your session fees and what do they include?

*a session fee covers my time, talent, experience and creative vision. Prints are sold separately after you have viewed your images.

Full Session Fee: $100
A Full Portrait session includes up to 1 hour of shoot time at a location of your choice. I have some suggestions for locations but welcome any of your ideas. This session is the choice for engagements, individual toddler/baby, siblings, seniors or immediate family (parents and their children). Each additional family member is $10. Unlimited wardrobe changes. This session yields 20-25 images in an online gallery for viewing and ordering.

Newborn Session Fee: $125
A Newborn session last between 1-2 hours. This session is held at the client's home, ideally, when the baby is between 5-10 days old (although we can do this later). This period of time is perfect for capturing sleepy, cuddly newborn babies. Because this shoot is time sensitive, please contact me prior to the birth so we can get you on my calendar! My style of newborn photography includes classic portrait shots mixed with lifestyle images. As your photographer, my goal is to capture your newborn and family in the environment where you "do life". The home. This session yields 20-25 images in an online gallery for viewing and ordering.

I also offer Mini-Sessions on a seasonal basis. These are held on pre-determined dates that I announce via blog and my facebook page facebook.com/amandaowensphotography. Mini-sessions are 20 minutes and require clients to sign up for a limited number of time slots. This session yields 8-10 images on a drive that is yours to keep print or share.

*Prints and wall art are available for purchase a la cart or purchase a flash drive of all digital images from your session gallery. Prints start at $5. There is no minimum purchase required. Please contact me at amandaowensphotography@gmail.com for detailed pricing info.

*All gift print and wall art purchases 8x10 and larger will also be delivered in high-resolution, digital format along with a print release.

Prices subject to change without prior notice

2. Do you post my pictures on Facebook?

I do post one or two session pictures on my Amanda Owens Photography page. If you do not wish to have a picture posted, please let me know before the session date. I will also post a sneak peek of your session on this blog and email you when it is up!

3. How long does it take to edit my pictures?
You will receive a link to your online viewing gallery within 7 days of your photo session. At that time, you will be able to place your orders directly from the gallery. I strive to keep my turn around time short so that you can receive your prints and products in a timely manner and start enjoying your stunning art work!

4. What should I bring to the photo shoot?

For parents with small kids- a favorite toy, paci, snack, bribe, promised trip to get ice cream is all wonderful! Up to two outfits per full session (mini session- no clothing changes, please). I suggest a dressy outfit and a more casual one. Moms and dads, even if you only want shots of your children, please dress for pictures. Sometimes it helps for a parent to jump in the picture with the little ones to keep the session calm. And, you may find out that you treasure those shots with your children most. If you don't want to think about a coordinating outfit, throw on a white top and jeans.
4. What should we wear?

I'm a believer in keeping clothing simple for pictures and letting the subjects be the ones to stand out. I suggest wearing neutral colors: (white, cream, blue, pink, navy) And doing your best to avoid patterns as they can detract from your faces.  Sticking with neutrals guarantees that you and your beautiful family's faces are what stand out in your images. Plus, I want to make sure that your images match any room in your house. Clean neutral outfits are classic and go with any decor!
For ideas of what to wear visit my pinterest board HERE

5. Do you charge a fee to travel outside of Huntsville?
Yes, any session 30 miles outside of Huntsville city center (35801) are charged a $30 fee.
